Yeah!

Our new album Rakieta! (The Rocket!) wins the Folk Fonogram of the Year 2021! The Folk Fonogram, presented by the Polish Radio, is a most important award for folk musicians in Poland. An international jury had to cherry-pick out of several dozen folk CDs published here in 2021. Thirteen albums has made it to the final. Here are some comments from the jury members on Rakieta!:

Milan Tesař: Very traditional music approach with contemporary lyrics. And it works…! A very interesting and perhaps an unexpected step for this exceptional band. Worth listening repeatedly by the whole family.

Simon Broughton: An excellent album. I love what Tęgie Chłopy are doing!

Manos Tzanakakis: I got acquainted with the band at the Polish Showcase day at the Globaltica Festival in 2019 in Gdynia. In dialogue with many cultures, party music that can be experimental as well.
